This tender is for the provision of district nurse transport and taxis for Central London Community Healthcare staff. The tender can be found on ProContract under reference DN352699. This tender is for the provision of district nurse transport and taxis for Central London Community Healthcare staff. District nurse transport accounts for the majority of work to be carried out under this contract. Currently, the trust has 7 district nurses per day (weekday, weekend and bank holidays) carrying out work in the community between 16:00-21:00 where they will be carry out 10-16 visits to patient homes over a 4 hour period. A car and driver is required for the 4 hour period and will visit patient homes as requested by the nurse. The driver will be available to accompany the nurse to the door of the patient’s home, though this is an infrequent requirement. The taxi part of the contract is for ad hoc journeys between two locations throughout the year and in particular over the Christmas period for staff working in clinics on days when public transport is unavailable.
