Refurbishment work

Tender description

The university has appointed a design and build main contractor to work under a two stage construction process (with pre-construction and construction stages) for the design and construction of a maritime simulator suite, consisting of the refurbishment of an existing university facility to accommodate a variety of maritime related training simulators, including but not limited to, ships bridge and engine room simulators, along with associated classroom and staff office spaces. The contract will be inclusive of the supply and installation of the specialist simulator suite and equipment (by the appropriate simulator sub-contractor), inclusive of a 5 years post contract maintenance period to be provided by the relevant simulator specialist. Appointment of main contractor under 2 stages design & build contract, for refurbishment of existing location within the Main East Park Terrace campus, to accommodate the university's new maritime simulation suite.
