Provision of Services - Labour Resource

Tender description

BMBC have a requirement for the supply of Labour Resource and Plant Equipment to carry out improvement and repair works including Draining, Ducting, Groundworks, and Structural Concrete work at various sites within BMBC's geographic area. The services are to support the day to day work activities of BMBC. The Contractor is to provide ideally gangs of two or three operatives that will predominantly work alongside BMBC Direct Labour Operatives, although, teams must also have the ability to work unsupervised, with direction from BMBC. Undertake public liaison, with a local knowledge of BMBC geographical area Works include but not restricted to: • Kerbing, Edging, Channelling, Step Units, including PCC, Stone and Specialist Granite products • Combined Kerb and Drainage Blocks and Linear Drainage • Paving, Block Paving, Tactiles and Flagging and potentially High Specification materials like Granite Products. • Renewing and / or adjustment of ironwork for example - Manhole cover and frames, Gullies, Fire Hydrants, Stop Taps and Inspection Covers. • Surface Water Drainage including new Gullies and associated Pipework and Connections, • Ducting of all types including Traffic Signals, Street Lighting, Communications, including all associated Chambers and Covers • Tarmac - Hand and Machine Lay, all types of Bituminous Materials, Close Graded Materials, Dense Materials, Stone Mastic Asphalts, Hot Rolled, High Stone Content, including pothole and patching repairs. • Groundworks, Excavation and Minor Earthworks in all types of materials • Drainage - all types including Surface and Foul including Pipework, Connections and Fittings • Install Street Furniture - all types of Bollards, Litter Bins, Benches, including Stainless Steel and High Specification products • Brickwork and Blockwork - underground, facing, retaining structures. • Traffic Signals NAL Sockets, Chamber Boxes / Covers and Frames, Loop Boxes and Ducting The supply and operation of the following manual handling plant equipment is to be supplied by the Contractor within this Agreement • Crew Cab Transit Pick Up or Similar • 360 Excavators - 1 tonne to 3 tonne • Hydraulic Pack with Hose, Breaker and Points • Vibratory Pedestrian Roller 700kg • Vibrating Plate Compactor • Stihl Saw or similar • Pedestrian Barriers
