Shalfleet Primary Refurbishment Works

Tender description

The Isle of Wight Council (\"the Authority\") invites Tenders from suitably qualified suppliers (\"Potential Suppliers\") for the refurbishment of Shalfleet Primary School, Station Road, Ningwood, Newport, Isle of Wight PO30 4NN. The project is to modernise, remodel and refurbish the existing school buildings to provide a new and contemporary learning environment. The works relate to the internal remodelling and refurbishment of the main school building and involve most refurbishment construction trades. Architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical specifications and drawings have been prepared as part of this tender document. An asbestos survey has been undertaken and will be forwarded to the contractor in due course. The school will be operational during the Sections 1 and 3 of the works. The work area and compounds are to be separated from the general school area at all times by suitable construction fencing. The term of the contract shall be from 23 July 2018 until 23 November 2018. The project will be in three sections with dates as follows: Section 1: Key Stage 1 8 weeks from 06 August 2018 - 28 September 2018 Section 2: Common Areas 6 weeks from 23 July 2018 - 31 August 2018 Section 3: Pupil Support Areas 8 weeks from 01 October 2018 - 23 November 2018
