Elm Park Primary School - Reroofing, Phase 1

Tender description

The Council wishes to procure a contractor to undertake the re-roofing works based on a Bauder felt roofing system as specified in tender documents annexed to this ITT. Tenderers should note that any tender submission based on an alternative roofing systems will be deemed to be non-compliant. The intention is to deliver the re-roofing project into two separate contracts. Phase 1 scheme comprising roof 1A, 1B and 1C will be delivered during the summer of 2018 school closure period and the Phase 2 scheme will be tendered and delivered next year over the 2019 summer period. Tenderers are referred to the roof plan 001 which indicates the phasing. Tenderers should note that the existing electricity cabling that currently runs across the Phase 2 area will also be diverted over the summer 2018 period but will be undertaken by others. Tender documents for the Phase 1 works are based on a specification, drawings and a schedule of works. Tenderers should refer to the documents annexed to this Invitation to Tender (ITT). This is a works Contract being procured under the open tender procedure. The successful contractor will be appointed under a JCT Minor Works Building Contract (2016). For details of contract particulars tenderers are referred to the Preliminaries section in the Specification (Section 1).
