UCC invites responses (“Tenders”) to this Request for Tenders (“RFT”) from suitably qualified firms (“Tenderers”) for the provision of the works as described in the attached Works Requirements (“the works”) This RFT relates to Electrical Upgrade Works to 2 Nr adjoining semi-detached houses on Donovans Road - William Thompson House (Aldworth) & Fernhurst for University College Cork as follows; • Strip out of existing Electrical installation • New electrical installation comprising o Distribution boards o Power circuits and outlets o Lighting system incl. emergency lighting o Fire Detection and alarm system o Intruder alarm o Data/Comms containment and cabling o Services Connections for other trades – e.g. Mechanical plant/equipment etc. o Services provision to other trades – e.g. Temporary power, site/task lighting etc. This competition is also to establish a multi supplier framework with a maximum of Six Tenderers (“Framework”) to whom specific assignments may be awarded in due course based on the terms of a contract (“Framework Agreement”). This competition is based on an open procedure and the award of the contract and the appointment to a Framework will be determined by virtue of a test to determine the most economically advantageous Tenders (“MEAT”), following a qualification stage Following this tender, a multi-supplier framework was established comprising the following candidates • Denis O Neill Electrical Services Ltd. • Eddie Herrick Electrical Ltd. • Fusion Ltd. • Kiernan Electrical Ltd. • KPR Electrical Ltd. • Sean Ahern Ltd.
