Tender description

The Our City Our River (OCOR) project is currently underway to improve flood defences through Derby and funding for the second phase has been secured. This Munio project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and includes a number of environmental improvements along the river corridor. We have the opportunity to carry out improvement works to the lake under the Munio project and Derby City Council is seeking a specialist contractor to carry out the works. These works will ensure it remains suitable for continued use as a recreational facility while also taking the opportunity to incorporate ecological and aesthetic improvements. We are seeking design proposals and implementation to provide long term improvements to the lake in terms of: • Improvement in water quality • Provision of refuge for young fish • Creating a range of habitats for wildlife • Increase in visual attractiveness of the lake Please note, suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation, must do so by 14:00 on 28 June 2018. It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. Bidders will have the opportunity to visit the site on Tuesday 05th June 2018 - 12.30 pm and Wednesday 06th June 2018 - 10.00 am and further details of how to book the site visit are included in the documentation. The deadline for returns is 14:00 on Friday 29th June 2018. Bidders must express an interest at https://www.eastmidstenders.org to obtain the documents.
