Tender description

Electrical Contractors for Durham County Council. The works will involve minor works. The main users of the Framework Agreement will be Direct Services as part of the Regeneration and Local Services Directorate and will be available for use by any Durham County Council Service Grouping subject to approval by the Head of Direct Services. This Framework will be available for use by Durham County Council on behalf of itself and other entities where they have entered into a Service Level Agreement with Durham County Council: — Academy Schools in County Durham and Darlington, — Maintained Schools in County Durham and Darlington, — County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, — Durham Constabulary and the Office of the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner, — Parish Councils and Town Councils in County Durham. The Council makes no guarantee that they will be awarded any call off and no guarantee is in respect of any volume of work. This Procurement exercise is to establish a Framework Agreement (“the Contract”) for Electrical Contractors for Durham County Council (“The Authority”). The works will involve minor works. Therefore Durham County Council are looking to implement a framework of Electrical Contractors, certified to 17th Edition electrical regulations and British and European standards for electrical works on both existing and new build premises for a range of Council owned properties and private premises. The work could involve work on various premises including for example industrial units, schools, academies and any other educational and Council buildings, Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue and Durham Constabulary premises. This work is predominantly in educational, commercial and industrial environments and would not involve works on domestic dwellings. The main users of the Framework Agreement will be Direct Services as part of the Regeneration and Local Services Directorate and will be available for use by any Durham County Council Service Grouping subject to approval by the Head of Direct Services. This Framework will be available for use by Durham County Council on behalf of itself and other entities where they have entered into a Service Level Agreement with Durham County Council: — Academy Schools in County Durham and Darlington, — Maintained Schools in County Durham and Darlington, — County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, — Durham Constabulary and the Office of the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner, — Parish Councils and Town Councils in County Durham. This Invitation to Tender is issued under an open process with no prior shortlisting. Following this tender exercise a maximum number of three bidders, who achieve the highest weighted tender score over 60 % will be awarded the Framework.
