Tender description

This procurement seeks to standardise fire specific training for all fire and rescue services nationally, in line with National Operational Guidance. Provision of training delivery services shall include the following: — Incident Command Levels 1 and 2, — Fires and firefighting, — Fires in the build environment, — Operations, — Breathing apparatus, — Transport, — Wildfires, — Fires in buildings under construction/demolition, — Waste site fires, — Environmental protection, — Performing rescues, — Water rescue and flooding, — Hazardous materials, — Utilities and fuel, — Sub-surface, height and structures, — Industry, — Major incidents, — CBRNe, — Incidents involving animals, — Incident command – Advanced level 3, — Incident command – Advanced level 4, — National resilience. Building upon the success of previous national frameworks across the Fire and Rescue Sector, Kent Fire and Rescue Service will be leading on a collaborative project to establish a UK wide framework for the provision of fire specific training suitable for all UK Fire and Rescue Services. Our intention is to let a framework that is flexible and non-prohibitive for Fire and Rescue services to sign up to. There have been recent changes to the National Operational Guidance which provides Fire and Rescue Services with guidance about the operational tactics that should be used by firefighters. This guidance leads to improved consistency in operational policies and working practices of the Fire and Rescue Service at operational incidents. This Framework will build upon, and be aligned with this guidance to deliver a National Training Framework.
