Tender description

In 2009 the University outsourced the provision of some of its student accommodation to University partnerships programme (UPP) under a contract that was competitively tendered under the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (which implemented Directive 2004/18EC). Following that outsourcing UPP operates 2 569 on-campus student bedrooms for the University on its Streatham campus. The University now intends to enter into arrangements with UPP for the provision of a further 382 student rooms on the same campus and the subsequent operation and management of that accommodation. The development will involve UPP entering into a 50 year headlease of two sites at the Streatham campus. If UPP carries out construction works (which it is not obliged to do) the University will enter into 2 underleases of completed student accommodation.
