Tender description
MetroLink will provide a high speed, high capacity, high frequency, modern and efficient public transport service for people travelling along the Swords/Airport to City Centre corridor in Dublin. In addition, MetroLink will connect to the existing Luas Green Line in the South City area, enabling through running metro services from Swords to Sandyford, giving an overall metro length of approx. 26 kilometres. It is intended that MetroLink will commence construction in 2021 and will be open to passenger services by 2026/2027. It is anticipated that MetroLink will include the following design services and construction works: — Underground Tunnelling, Stations and associated works; — At-grade and Elevated Track, Stations and associated works; — Permanent Way, Power and Communications; — Depot, stabling and Park and Ride facilities; — Signalling; — Rolling Stock; and — Detailed design and construction management of all of the above. Value excluding VAT: approx. 3 000 000 000 EUR. The preliminary market consultation will afford TII an opportunity to explore market views, capacity, capability, and appetite relating to an initial outline procurement strategy, including packaging and contracting strategies. 1. Interested parties are invited to prepare a brief summary (maximum 2 pages) detailing contact details, their company’s expertise, capabilities and experience in delivering works similar to those required for the delivery of the MetroLink project by 6.4.2018; 2. In addition, interested parties are welcome (note this is optional) to provide an outline of the elements of MetroLink and tasks that they consider are most relevant to the services they provide by 6.4.2018; and 3. TII will provide an information pack on MetroLink which will be uploaded to www.etenders.gov.ie The information pack will include further details of MetroLink and a questionnaire for completion by the PIN closing date.
