The A96 Park and Choose / Dyce Drive Link Road is a major project designed to relieve congestion on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness Road and Dyce Drive road network close to Aberdeen Airport and the Kirkhill Industrial Estates. The Link Road will be a new 500 m long dual carriageway with associated pedestrian and cycle facilities linking the existing Dyce Drive / Argyll Road junction 8,5 km north west of Aberdeen city centre and 500 m south west of the Aberdeen Airport terminal building. This link road will connect the existing road network around the airport to a new junction on the A96 to be constructed as a part of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) project. The AWPR is a separate project which provides a bypass around the city. The A96 Park and Choose is a new 999 space car park with an accommodation block / waiting room for the bus stop to be constructed on the east south and west sides of Walton Farm buildings approximate location NJ 871 114. The car park will be accessed from a new junction on the Link Road and a new slip road from the eastbound A96. The A96 Park and Choose will be one of a network of park and choose site to be constructed around Aberdeen alongside the AWPR to provide commuters with an alternative means of accessing the city.
