Tender description

(Rochdale Council) are tendering for the Provision of School Swimming Transport (this tender includes the Authority and its partners). This tender is directly on behalf of Rochdale MBC’s partner Link4Life, this service will be delivered to the boroughs schools and will be managed by Link4Life. We require transportation for primary school children attending swimming tuition at the boroughs three swimming facilities; Heywood Sports Village. West Starkey Street. Heywood. OL10 4TW. Middleton Arena. LCpl Joel Halliwell VC Way. Middleton. M24 1AG. Rochdale Leisure Centre. Entwistle Road. Rochdale. OL16 2HZ. The tuition is term time only, an example of a schedule indicating times and days are shown on the two attachments that indicate the planned calendar and timetabling of schools. The 34 week programme will be split into 2 17 week blocks. In turn each school will now attend for 17 weeks with an hour lesson during each visit. The current requirement is for up to a 50 seater coach to accommodate the class size and teaching staff. It is anticipated that 3 of these coaches will be required each day. The commitment, reliability and punctuality of the contractor are key to the success of this contract. The requirements are subject to change and are determined by each school. The contractor must be flexible and be able to adjust to changes made in the schedules. The pick-up / dropping off points on each route will be in accordance with the schools and leisure centre managers’ requirements.
