Invitation to Tender for Cheltenham High Street East Highway Improvement Works Phase 1

Tender description

Cheltenham Borough Council ("Contracting Authority") is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to provide important and prestigious highway improvement works on Cheltenham's High Street East. The project comprises the improvement of an area of Cheltenham High street and Cambray Place, the construction of planters and new street furniture. The improvement shall be complete before the new John Lewis store opens on 15 September 2018. The Early Works area drawing identifies the area of the Works must be prioritised in the Contractors programme to ensure the works are not ongoing outside JL if the Completion Date is missed. The area is to be paved with natural stone sourced from a local quarry. In order to expedite the completion of the works, CBC propose to place an order for the supply of the stone paving during the process of selecting a Contractor for the Works.
