SUBJECT: [2737] TENDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A TEMPORARY BUS STATION, FORGE ISLAND, ROTHERHAM South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced contractor to construct a temporary bus station on Forge Island at Rotherham. The works will be let under a JCT Minor Works Building Contract with contractor's design (MWD) 2016 and the estimated value is £275,000 to £325,000. The works comprise the construction of temporary bus station facilities on the site of an old supermarket comprising a new shelter, a raised footpath/platform, kerbing, perimeter fencing, site lighting, head of queue structures, milling surface of existing concrete ground slab, builder's work in connection with electrical/data infrastructure, relocation of the Employer's equipment, provision of base for temporary accommodation for the Employer, thermoplastic line markings and water filled plastic/concrete barriers.
