Water Main Repairs - Responsive Service & Planned Preventative Works (Re-Advertised)

Please note this has been re-advertised due to lack of interest. NPS Barnsley Ltd requires a Contractor to provide 24 hours, a day/7 days a week/365 days a year cover for the provision of underground water main repair and replacement works. The work will predominately be in the Barnsley location but there may be other locations in Yorkshire where we require planned and responsive works . The contract will comprise work for our client Berneslai Homes and also NPS Barnsley Ltd. The service will comprise the following – •A responsive service to repair and replace underground mains water service pipes between the roadside stop tap and individual domestic and commercial properties and the like. •Planned preventative works associated with the replacement of underground mains water service pipes from the road side stop tap to serve domestic and commercial properties and the like. The works will be classified into categories based on the urgency on the works – • Category 1 Emergency Repairs – response time within 4 hours • Category 2 Urgent Repairs – response time within 3 days • Category 3 Priority Repairs – response time within 7 days • Category 4 Non-urgent Repairs – response time within 25 days • Category 5 Planned Repairs which must be responded to within 10 weeks The contract is for a period of 24 months commencing 1 June 2017 with an option to extend for a further 12 months at the NPS Barnsley Ltd discretion subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability. The approximate anticipated value of work to be carried out under this Contract is estimated to be in the region of circa £180,000 per annum based on historical data. The total estimated value of £540,000 (based on historical data) is an estimated total including extensions.
