Conservation Works to Lisbunny Medieval Church, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Tender description

The works comprise a programme of consolidation and repair of the masonry ruin (north wall and south wall (nave/chancel arch), to include the biocide treatment and subsequent removal of invasive vegetation (ivy, buddleia, sycamore, etc.). The removal of vegetation is to be carried out in tandem with the repointing and consolidation of the masonry. The works will take place in two locations (refer to the annotated sketch plan fig. 1) as follows: • Work Area A – North wall of nave • Work Area B – South wall, including chancel arch In addition to the above, biocide treatment is to be carried out to all other areas of the ruin as described herein. Tendering contractor’s are required to provide a detailed tender breakdown, in which the costs associated with Work Area A and Work Area B are broken down and are clearly identifiable. The location of each of the work areas is indicated on the sketch plan and annotated photographs appended. The Contractor shall visit the site to evaluate the quantum of works in each area of work.
