Tender description

The Thanet Sewers scheme is a groundwater protection programme of works to rehabilitate existing sewers over AMPs 5, 6 and 7. This opportunity relates to the AMP 6 phase. The 160 km sewer system is unusual in that there are an estimated 17 km of sewers laid within purpose dug, underground unsupported tunnels within the chalk strata. We estimate that approximately 35 km to 55 km of the network will require rehabilitation works and flood storage/attenuation works.
