Tender description

The procurement of the operation of ‘Registered Local Bus services’ in the local authority areas of the Tyne and Wear boundary with effect from 3.9.2017 to cover ‘Home to school Transport to/from a number of schools in Tyne and Wear. It is anticipated that subsequent contracts will be for a term of 1 academic year, with an option of extending each contract for up to 1 year should this be necessary. The contracts will be tendered on the basis of operating specified timetables. The vehicles required will be low floor, easy access, meeting Euro 4 engine emission standards as a minimum and meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Acts with a minimum capacity of 84 passengers.
