Tender description

Manchester City Council on behalf of the New Islington Estate Management Company is seeking to procure estate management and maintenance services for the New Islington Estate. The estate is a private estate that is open to the public and includes soft landscape, hard landscape and navigable water spaces. The estate is surrounded by housing developments, a school and a health centre. A commercial marina operates within the estate water spaces, with its own pontoons and services. This contract would cover the provision of management of common part of the estate, including but not limited to Cotton Field Park, the promenade areas, the water spaces, the access road, swingbridges (5 No) and the Bascule bridge. The contract would also include the collection of estate charge from head leaseholders on a quarterly basis, establishment and management of an estate sinking fund and the provision of audited accounts to the Management Company. The management and maintenance contract will be paid for via the estate charge on up to 1 700 residential dwellings and a limited number of commercial units. The contract does not include any management of the marina business or maintenance of associated equipment. The management of the contract will rest with the New Islington Management Company, a named contact and lead will be identified at tender stage.
