Tender description
This PIN is being used to advertise a supplier event on 22.2.2017 at the COSLA conference Centre in Edinburgh from 10:00 to 12:00 noon in anticipation of a tender for the development of an Executive Leadership Development package for NHS Scotland. Should you wish to attend please email: tenders@nes.scot.nhs.uk This PIN is being used to advertise a supplier event on 22.2.2017 at the COSLA conference Centre in Edinburgh from 10:00 to 12:00 noon in anticipation of a tender for the development of an Executive Leadership Development package for NHS Scotland. The Scottish Government has published the Health and Social Care (H&SC) delivery plan which sets out a programme to further enhance H&SC services in Scotland. The overall strategic intention remains focused on ensuring people in Scotland can live longer, healthier lives at home or in a homely setting, and achieving the ‘Triple Aim’ of better health, better care and better value. Executive level leadership is fundamental to the success of the delivery plan. The NHS Scotland Chief Executive has underscored the importance of ethical leadership and working together across the whole of the health and social care system as key elements of this. New, nationally-led arrangements will be put in place during 2017-18 to identify, support and develop the most able managers and leaders from across the H&SC system at executive and aspiring director levels. These arrangements will need to ensure that current and future executive leaders are fully equipped to drive the changes required. NHS Education for Scotland is seeking a technical partner to work with them on the scoping and design of an Executive Leadership development package to support these cohorts, made up of senior clinical and non-clinical staff. The package will draw on leading thinking and best practice from both public and private sectors. It is anticipated that it will incorporate innovative and technology-enabled development solutions as well as drawing on the best of the existing local, regional and national leadership development provision. Delivery options will be considered, and if necessary procured, separately. The purpose of the event on 22.2.2017 is to provide an opportunity to interested suppliers to hear more about the background and context to this work and set the scene for the tender exercise. There will be a presentation from NHS Education for Scotland followed by an opportunity for questions and answers. The event has limited places and will be on first come first serve basis. Please note this is not a compulsory event any materials from the event will be available alongside any tender documents. Should you wish to attend please email: tenders@nes.scot.nhs.uk
