Tender description

To deliver community outreach by working directly within the specified communities within Dumfries to identify disadvantaged participants in workless, lone parent or low-income households. The ESIF 2014-2020 programme facilitates major investment to support transformational change and economic and social structural reforms across Scotland. The ESIF Programme aims to support the delivery of the EU 2020 strategy of smart growth, sustainable growth and inclusive growth. These European priorities will deliver benefits to people and communities across Scotland including helping to build an innovative, low carbon economy, improving the competitiveness of Scotland’s SMEs, reducing poverty, increasing workforce skills and providing practical routes into work for people facing multiple barriers to employment. This intensive support will ensure the client group can progress towards accessing the Strategic Skills Pipeline to be able to gain the skills and aptitudes to allow further progression in the local labour market and therefore contributing to a reduction in poverty and deprivation and supporting the creation of a skilled workforce for the future. The delivery agents will carry out a participant assessment of needs and refer to the Links to Work Project as well as to the ESF Pipeline and other agencies as appropriate.
