Tender description
Hertfordshire County Council (the “Council”) is intending to procure a contractor to construct the A120 Bypass, Little Hadham, and Flood Alleviation Scheme which comprises a 3.9 km single-carriageway bypass, two associated flood storage areas, the realignment of a small watercourse and the landscaping works including 3 years maintenance period, to be delivered in partnership with the Environment Agency (“EA”). The employer has responsibility for the design of the works which has been undertaken by Opus Arup. A Pre-procurement Market Engagement exercise and Industry Day was held in September 2016. The Council has kept contractors aware of progress of the development of the scheme via its website see II.2.4. The procurement route will be a restricted procedure including a Selection Questionnaire (SQ) stage. Anticipated key dates for the procurement (which are subject to change) are as follows: The Council intends to place an OJEU Contract Notice on 12 January 2018. As part of the tender process, it is anticipated that an Industry Day for tenderers will be held on Monday 29 January 2018. Please hold this date in your diary and further details will be provided in the OJEU Contract Notice. Selection Questionnaire submission closing date is end of February 2018. Tender Period June to July 2018. Award Contract November 2018. Construction commencement early 2019.
