Tender description

A Devon County Council framework agreement for carrying out minor construction works covering the period from May 2018 to April 2022. The number of schemes is not known. The schemes, each of which will have an estimated value of from 10 000 GBP up to 500 000 GBP or 1 000 000 GBP as appropriate, will be the subject of an individual Works Order issued by the Project Manager/Supervisor. The types of works include footways, cycle routes, bus priorities, pedestrian crossings, traffic calming and works to recycling centres. Structural work, such as retaining walls and bridge deck repair, may also be included. The Form of Contract will be the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (April 2013) as detailed in Volume 1 of the Procurement Documents. Tenders may be submitted for 1 lot, all 6 lots or any combination of lots. Area Location plans are included in Volume 6 within the Procurement Documents. The Authority intends to appoint four contractors per Lot under this Framework. Minor Construction Works up to 500 000 GBP for the East Highway Management Area. This is approximately equivalent to the District Council areas for East Devon, Mid Devon and Exeter. Minor Construction Works from 500 000 GBP up to 1 000 000 GBP for the East Highway Management Area. This is approximately equivalent to the District Council areas for East Devon, Mid Devon and Exeter. Minor Construction Works up to 500 000 GBP for the North Highway Management Area. This is approximately equivalent to the District Council areas for North Devon and Torridge, plus the northern part of West Devon. Minor Construction Works from 500 000 GBP up to 1 000 000 GBP for the North Highway Management Area. This is approximately equivalent to the District Council areas for North Devon and Torridge, plus the northern part of West Devon. Minor Construction Works up to 500 000 GBP for the South Highway Management Area. This is approximately equivalent to the District Council areas for South Hams, Teignbridge, plus the southern part of West Devon. Minor Construction Works from 500 000 GBP up to 1 000 000 GBP for the South Highway Management Area. This is approximately equivalent to the District Council areas for South Hams, Teignbridge, plus the southern part of West Devon.
