Contract to provide for the connection of existing foul and storm lines at the Irishtown Junction to the existing foul and storm sewer lines at Nunnery Lane.

Tender description

The works entail the laying of new foul sewers of 300mm and 375mm diameter and surface water sewers of 525mm and 750mm from Irishtown Junction to Nunnery Lane. The works include for the demolition of existing foul and surface manholes at the Irishtown Junction and construction of new manholes at the same location to include connections from the existing proposed sewers. New separate reinforced concrete foul and surface water sewers are to be laid southwards from the junction along the National Secondary route N30 and then turn westwards through the grounds of the Carmelite Convent before emerging onto Nunnery Lane and connecting to the header manholes on Nunnery Lane. The works include all services connections, crossings of services, construction of pipelines and manholes, road and grassland reinstatement and abandonment of sewers. The works include the reinstatement of the road surface along the N30 where the new sewers will be laid and the permanent reinstatement of the road surface along Nunnery Lane as outlined in the works requirements. The resurfacing of a private access road and carpark is also included in the works. The full scope of the works are as outlined in the works requirements.
