Primary School - Temporary Accommodation

Tender description

The proposed work requires the design and construction for temporary education facilities to accommodate 60 reception year pupils and required teaching staff. The works will consist of internal alterations and remodelling of an existing building to provided 2nr. classrooms and required toilets and office / administration space. The works will include where required, but not be limited to, alteration of partitions as required, re-routing of M&E services and utilities as required, installation of fixed FF&E and installation of passive ICT. The appointed Contractor will be required to coordinate the installation of active ICT as supplied by the School's designated Contractor, and to coordinate the installation of loose FF&E as supplied by another party selected by the school. The appointed contractor will be required to form a temporary access road onto the site for construction access. The successful contractor will be appointed on a D&B basis and responsible for progressing any additional surveys required and design development based on the ESFA specifications that will be provided in the tender documents. The proposed form of contract is the JCT Minor Works Building Contract with contractor's design (MWD) 2011 with ESFA Amendments. The final appointment of the contractor will be on the basis of the criteria to be published in the tender documents. The tender documents will be available on Tuesday 31st October 2017, with tender returns due by 12 noon on 17th November 2017.
