Acceleration programme - EOI

Tender description

The private sector continues to be the main source of supply of new housing. In recognition of this, Leeds City Council (LCC) has established a Private Sector Acceleration Programme to ensure, and deliver housing at pace. The unique programme identifies stalled housing or mixed use sites across the city, and working with the landowners/developers provides support and enabling interventions to remove the barriers preventing sites coming forward. The Programme has been successful in developing intervention strategies that have assisted housing developers in bringing sites forward, particularly Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs). The key to enabling housing development lies in working in collaboration across the private sector and linking sites with developers where required. Consequently, LCC is seeking to identify land owners who would like to work with other housing providers to jointly develop the sites. In addition LCC is seeking expressions of interest from developers and Registered Providers looking for development land. If there are any land owners who would like to contact the Council in relation to this please could you send through the ‘discussions’ tab the following information (max 1 side A4) - Details of your company - Contact information - A short description of any land opportunities you may have to offer As a developer or a Registered Provider you may have requirements for a site/s to enable a housing development. If you are interested in being linked up/signposted to land owners who have sites in the areas you are interested in developing, please could you send through the ‘discussions’ tab the following information (Max 1 side A4). - Details of your company - Contact information - A short description of any opportunities you may offer should a site be available in the areas you wish to develop.
