Tender description

This project consists of the construction and trail upgrade of two looped walking trails from Villierstown Pier (Phase I) and Dromana Woods Car Park (Phase II) in Villierstown Co. Waterford (approx 5km south of Cappoquin, Co. Waterford.) These Trails run adjacent in proximity to and portions of it being in the Blackwater River SAC 002170. The portions going through the forest are classified as ‘Old Woodland’ so the site has many mature trees that must be protected, this includes the roots. Other sections run through Coillte Lands however, are not inside the SAC. • Trail construction & upgrade of a trail 1200mm in width for a distance of 2400 metres over two looped trails. The Trails extend through woodlands and adjoins public roads at termination points. Some sections will require fencing, drainage and a buffer fence will be erected along the boundary of the SAC.
