Tender description

This PIN is issued to alert the market about the intended procurement of capital works to a primary school in Brentry, Bristol. This Scheme is being procured pursuant to the Priority Schools Building Programme (‘PSBP’). The estimated value of the works is below the EU works threshold; therefore the contract opportunity will be advertised on Contracts Finder only. The purpose of this PIN is to raise market awareness about the planned procurement and promote early bidder interest. A Bidders Day is being held at 16:00 on Thursday 12.10.2017 at Brentry Primary School to provide further information about the Scheme. If you would like to attend the Bidders Day, please register your interest by emailing the Technical Advisors (Turner and Townsend) at Brentry.PSBP2@turntown.co.uk no later than 12:00 Monday 9.10.2017. Please note that there will be a limit of 2 people per organisation and subject to venue capacity. The Scheme involves works to a defined block of the school, consisting of medium refurbishment. The block has highlighted issues that need to be addressed including fixed furniture and fittings in teaching areas, works to the floors and stairs including screed, finishes, balustrades and treads, roof drainage, covering and insulation of the flat and pitched roof and external windows and doors. Other issues requiring attention relate to the electrical system in general, but particularly the control gear, lifts, lighting and power. The works include some remodelling of spaces, potential removal of asbestos and drainage works, renewal of sanitary fittings and redecorations. Economic Operators should note that this contract opportunity shall only be advertised on Contracts Finder due to its value (Please ignore section II.3 this section is mandatory on the online SIMAP form so had to be completed — To confirm a contract notice shall not be published in the OJEU). It is intended that the advert shall be issued on Contracts Finder during w/c 9.10.2017. Deadline for tenders is envisaged for 27.10.2017 (Dates are subject to change).
