Procurement of Works Contractors for Refurbishment of Student Accommodation Facility at University Hall.

UCC hereby issues this information in accordance with the requirements of EC directive 2004/18/EC (restricted procedure) for applicants and is inviting expressions of interest from Works Contractors as the first stage of a two stage process under the restricted procedure. The proposed scope of work at University Hall will comprise work to 46 apartments including 172 bedrooms, 172 bathrooms and 46 kitchens / living space as well as common circulation space University Hall is managed by Campus Accommodation (UCC) Ltd (CAUL) who will be the client for this Project. UCC Capital Projects Office will manage this procurement on behalf of CAUL. The proposed works comprise the following • Refurbishment and upgrade of existing Kitchen & Living space units 46 No. • Refurbishment and upgrade of existing Bedrooms units 172 No. • Refurbishment and upgrade of Internal Circulation areas within apartments 46 No. • En-suites – replacement of floor tiling to include skirting and substrate as required following inspection 172 No. • New white goods to Kitchens. • Decoration to Kitchens / Living Space, Bedrooms Hallway Walls & Ceilings, Bathroom/ En-suite ceilings • Adjustments to doors to facilitate new floor finish including new door saddles. • Install energy efficient light fittings as per M&E report • Replace storage heaters in Kitchen / Living Space with energy efficient heaters. • Other Ancillary mechanical & electrical works ( see RPS Doc. M&E Refurbishment Proposals • New furniture to Kitchen Living Space & Bedrooms (not beds) • Refurbishment of Common Areas and Stairwells including decoration but existing flooring is to be retained • It is noted that other works may be deemed necessary follow on from detailed inspections by Architects and M&E Consultants • Replacement of all CCTV Cameras • Upgrade card reader/ programmer and computer • External works to include repainting of existing cedar cladding and necessary repairs to external window sills and flashings fo
