Tender description
The Hallé wishes to procure the services of a main contractor to progress the refurbishment and extension of the Hallé, St Peter's building in Manchester. The project has now commenced RIBA Stage 4. The minor refurbishment and extension to the existing building has a total construction budget of 4 300 000 GBP exclusive of VAT. The contract which is the subject of procurement is to appoint a main contractor to deliver the construction contract in a period no more than 15 months. The contractor will be provided with a complete Stage 4 design It is the intention of the Hallé to enter into a JCT standard form of Contract with 1 main contractor. The completion of a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) will be required before the contractor is invited to tender. Following the pre-qualification and tender stage, the award will be to the successful main contractor who will be required to enter into a contract of appointment with The Hallé. The contracting authority will be using a restricted procedure and is procuring via a single supplier.
