Gallblack Stream Culvert Replacement

Tender description

THis contract has been awarded to Wills Bros Ltd on 29th May 2017. 5 companies tendered. Dublin City Council propose to carry out remedial works to an existing culvert structure. The length of the culvert replacement is approximately 150m and located mostly within an industrial area through an existing carpark, under existing boundary fencing and adjacent to existing industrial buildings. The following risks identified in the first schedule of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations are applicable: • Work exposing people to the risk of drowning; • Falling from height; • Work near high voltage power lines; Further residual risks identified at this stage include the following: • Traffic management and diversions of traffic; • Working adjacent to live carriageway; • Working on, over, adjacent to rivers • Noise and vibration; • Exposure of construction plant; • Application of protective systems; • Temporary works; • Unauthorised access by members of the public; and • Lifting of large heavy precast elements.
