Tender description

Civil Engineering work to construct the Arbroath (Brothock Water) Flood Protection Scheme to protect the town from flooding. Scheme works will comprise the following elements: — 35no. Operations spread across rural and urban locations, — Construction of upstream flood storage area using embankments and flow controls to retain flood water above natural ground level, — Construction of second upstream flood storage area, — Construction of third flood storage area (embankment only), — Works within Arbroath town involve replacement, reconstruction, raising or refurbishment of channel walls in a number of locations to increase channel flow capacity. Details of The Scheme can be found on Angus Councils website (www.angus.gov.uk ) where scheme drawings show proposed works locations and operations. Procurement will be sought via a two stage restricted process involving completion of the European Single Procurement Document (ESPD) which is a self-declaration of the businesses' financial status, abilities and suitability for a public procurement procedure; followed by an Invitation to Tender which will be issued to those successful. Evaluation criteria will be set out or referred to in the Contract Notice to follow.
