Nottingham City Council is seeking tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified entities for the execution of the construction phase of the redevelopment of Nottingham Castle. The requirement is for a traditional build contract with elements of CPD. See full description below II.2.4. The procurement is related to a project and/or programme financed Heritage Lottery Fund, Nottingham Castle Trust, Trusts and Foundations and a number of local businesses. The contract is subject to the conditions of the funding body, and Contractors will be expected to comply with the relevant requirements and any associated regulations such as procurement, publicity, and eligibility criteria. Estimated value excluding VAT: Range: between 16 000 000 and 17 000 000 GBP. The scope of work consists of: 28.2.1 Restoration of the Gatehouse and Bridge . 28.2.2 A new Visitor Centre to provide ticketing, café, retail, orientation and interpretation. 28.2.3 Extending the Ducal Palace. 28.2.4 Conservation and refurbishment works to the Ducal Palace. 28.2.5 The restoration of the 1891 former Textile Gallery. 28.2.6 Access and interpretation improvements to the caves. 28.2.7 The reinterpretation of the accessible areas of Brewhouse Yard Cottages. 28.2.8 Traditional repairs are proposed to the Brewhouse Yard Cottages’. 28.2.9 Review current management of the Scheduled Monument and listed structures on the site to undertake conservation works. 28.2.10 Landscaping works. Estimated value excluding VAT: Range: between 16 000 000 and 17 000 000 GBP. The site is nationally significant and is covered by a variety of listings and scheduling.
