Tender description

"Note: this agreement relates to anti-skid surfacing only, not general road marking services". Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers of anti-skid surfacing. This service will be required for areas that are subjected to high braking forces, such as traffic light approaches, junctions, approaches to roundabouts, pedestrian crossings and cycle lanes. This will include epoxy resin high friction surface treatment systems, thermoplastic high friction surface treatment systems and coloured friction surfacing. The intention is to award to a sole supplier, however if one supplier cannot meet the council's requirements then it will be awarded to additional participant(s). The anticipated spend is in the region of 200 000 GBP for the full length of the agreement (48 months). The framework will be awarded initially for a period of 1 year, with the option to extend at the sole discretion of RMBC for a further 3 12-month periods, each on a year by year basis. All suppliers who wish to be considered for this opportunity must register on the YORtender system and electronically complete and upload the Invitation to Tender document onto the YORtender system by the deadline specified in the document. All Tenders must be returned through the system and will not be accepted by any other means.
