Tender description

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking applications from economic operators to be admitted to the Council's new dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for the supply and application of Bituminous Based Binder Products in highways maintenance. It is intended that the DPS be in place for 10 years with an approximate spend of 9 150 000 GBP. The DPS is divided into categories of materials (lots) and applicants may apply to be included on any or all of the lots. Applicants will only be admitted to lots applied for if the core DPS selection criteria and lot specific selection criteria are met. The lots are as followed: Lot 1: Roadmaster Binder Supply Only; Lot 2: Supply and Application of Bituminous Bond Coat; Lot 3: Slurry Seal Binder Supply Only; Lot 4: Supply and Application of Binders suitable for Surface Dressing; Lot 5: Supply of Miscellaneous Bituminous Based Products. This lot is for roadmaster binder supply only e.g. supply of emulsion for spray injection patching. This lot is for the supply and application of bituminous bond coat e.g.: — supply tack coat bituminous emulsion, — supply and application of modified bond coat emulsion, — supply and application of modified bond coat emulsion as surface dressing sealant. This lot is for slurry seal binder supply only e.g. supply of bond coat and emulsion suitable for slurry seal patching. This lot is for the supply and application of binders suitable for surface dressing. This lot is for the supply of miscellaneous bituminous based products e.g.: — polymer modified cold joint paint, — thermoplastic overbanding tape.
