Tender description
Please note that this is an award notice and we are not inviting expressions of interest. Construction of a new building with dining hall and staff room connected to existing building by a new enclosed walkway, remodelling of existing dining block and conversion into new classrooms and nursery unit and associated external works including a MUGA and increased car parking at Poverest Primary School, Tillingbourne Green. BR5 2JD. The proposed works are shown on drawings issued with the PQQ. The works will be undertaken in 3 sections: Section 1 - Construction of New Dining Hall Section 2 - Remodelling and conversion of upper site dining block into classrooms and nursery unit. Section 3 - Completion of essential work within the school summer vacation period 2017 - inclusive of the new link bridge and enclosed walkway at first floor level connecting into existing classrooms. The work will be undertaken within the occupied Primary School site. The appointment of a successful contractor is anticipated in October 2016 with a completion of the project by January 2018 or as otherwise directed by the Council. The contractor's works will include completion of the detailed design beyond RIBA stage 4, and construction of the extension and remodelling and conversion of upper site under the JCT Design & Build 2011, including all builder's works and M&E works including connection into the existing school's systems. The tender will be run electronically using the ProContract London Tenders Portal e-tendering system and suppliers interested in accessing the tender document will need to ensure that they are registered with the London Tenders Portal (if they have not already done so) at www.londontenders.org. Full tender documentation is accessible via the London Tenders Portal and Applicants should complete only the Stage 1 Selection Documents at this stage. The Invitation to Tender and supporting documents should only be completed once an Applicant has been invited to submit a tender following assessment of the Stage 1 responses. Applicants will be informed if they are being invited or not being invited to submit a tender by the end of May 2016 (or as otherwise directed by the Council).
