Tender description

The Council wishes to appoint suitably qualified organisations to provide professional valuation services across its corporate property and housing estate. The contracts require RICS accredited firms to provide a range of services including right to buy valuations, residential acquisition services and general valuation advice and services. The Contract and tender has been separated into three distinct ‘lots’ as follows: — Lot 1 Right to Buy Valuations; — Lot 2 Residential Acquisition Advice; — Lot 3 General Advice and Support. The Service provider shall provide a professional valuation and conveyancing plan service for Right to Buy disposals on behalf of the Council. The service will include the valuation of residential properties where a tenant has submitted a valid application to purchase a dwelling and representing the Council in the course of the valuation determination process. The primary objective at all times shall be to ensure that the Council is professionally represented, policy and procedures are adhered to and that the Council achieves value for money. 2 suppliers will be appointed to Lot 1. The Service provider shall provide a comprehensive valuation, negotiation and advice service to the Council. The Contractor shall undertake all tasks normally associated with a professional services contract, maintaining a sufficient level of resource to deliver the contract and to act in accordance with RICS guidance and best practice at all times. Through the use of industry best practice and the introduction of innovation, the Contractor will achieve and demonstrate value for money on a continuous basis and will report performance against targets, as and when requested by the Council.
