Tender description

The aim of this tender is to procure a Main Contractor to carry out the refurbishment of the existing patient lounge on ward 7b, to form a new surgical forward wait area. The surgical forward wait philosophy will benefit both the patients and the Trust, with the patient having a shortened length of time spent in hospital. The work will include demolition and creation of new partitions, new flooring, new ceilings, redecoration, new joinery and installation of specialist services such as the nurse call, medical gases, access control, supply and extract ventilation and fire alarm adaptations. The project will be carried out within a live hospital environment adjacent to wards 7a and 7b, and needs to be completed with minimal impact on the services we provide to our patients.
