Tender description

To provide a multi storey 10 floors, mixed use development comprising 120 apartments with commercial floor space, car parking spaces and all associated investigations, external works, landscaping, drainage and services at 20–30 Blyth Road, Hayes (The Stylus) To comply fully with GLA — London Housing Requirements, HCA standards and to achieve HQI Scores 67 - 70. The original contractor went into liquidation in June 2015. Our intention is prior to the contract award mitigation solutions will have been identified and mostly implemented. Paradigm Development Services Limited (The Employer) proposes to procure a completion contract at 20 — 30 Blyth Road, Hayes London. The contract will be on the basis of JCT Design and Build 2016 to provide a multi storey 10 floors, mixed use development. It comprises of 120 apartments with commercial floor space, car parking spaces including all associated investigations, external works, landscaping, drainage and services. The development forms the whole of the 20 - 30 Blyth Road, Hayes referred to as The Stylus or 20 - 30 Blyth Road and comprises of the design and construction of: A schedule of accommodation will be provided. The project is to comply fully with the Government of London Authority's (GLA) — London Housing Requirements, Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) standards and have regard to the National Housing Federation publication ‘Standards and Quality in Development’ to achieve HQI Scores 67 - 70. The original contractor Baxter and King (Later Woodlands Social Housing Ltd) went into liquidation in June 2015. Since the demise of the previous contractor work has been carried out to identify the risks and find solutions to risks identified. It is our intention that prior to the contract award mitigation solutions will have been identified and mostly implemented. The completed works are outlined as below: 1) Concrete frame to Blocks A, B and C substantially complete; 2) Concrete frame to the podium substantially complete with propping in position; 3) Metsec framing to external walls substantially complete to Blocks A, B and C; 4) Window installation substantially complete to Block A; 5) Cement boarding substantially complete to Block A; 6) Initial Mechanical and Electrical Works commenced to all blocks.
