Tender description

Home to school transport for children with special educational needs. The transportation of children to and from school with special educational needs. The majority of Home to School passengers may be vulnerable, have special educational or additional needs. 23 schools and colleges provide education for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs from complex or severe learning difficulties, sensory impairments, physical difficulties and challenging behaviour. Total 296 children over 65 routes. The Service Providers are be required to provide a range of vehicles to deliver the services, from cars to passenger carrying vehicles (vehicles with 6 seats and more). There is a requirement for a number of vehicles to be fitted with appropriate equipment to enable clients to access/egress the vehicle safely.
