Student Centre and University Squares Project: The project comprises of the design and construction of a new Student Centre and University Squares framing the north and south of the Student Centre; forming the central heart of the new 200 000 000 GBP University Campus Masterplan, transforming the connections between the University and the City of Preston. The key objectives of the building and public realm will be to provide a focal point for all frontline student services and a new social and collaborative working environment. The building will be required to meet the University's sustainability aspirations to provide a new world-class facility in a sustainable, low energy building, achieving a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent‘. Market Engagement Questionnaire: For the avoidance of doubt, this market engagement exercise is not part of a formal procurement process and UCLan is not committing, at this stage to carrying out such a process. Participation or non-participation in the market engagement process shall not prevent any supplier participating in any future alternative delivery strategy that UCLan may embark upon relative to this project. Neither is it intended that any information supplied as part of the market engagement process shall place any supplier at an advantage should UCLan decide to adopt an alternative delivery strategy. Similarly, buy not responding this will not lead to any unfair disadvantage. Organisations wishing to participate in the market engagement exercise are invited to submit written responses to the market engagement questionnaire (available by emailing StudentCentre@uclan.ac.uk). Completed responses to the questionnaire must only be returned to the UCLan Master Plan.
