Emergency stripping and re-roofing of Carrick-On-Suir Library and related works

Tender description

• Stripping the roof to the Lending Area, including the trusses and other structural members and replacement with new patinated zinc standing seam roofing on new deck and new structure including all flashings, cappings and accessories and including insulation and coverings and associated works including works to the Mechanical and Electrical Installations. • Stripping and removing the roof covering, decking, flashings, counter flashings etc. to the lean-to section on the North side of the building (over toilets, stores and associated areas) and covering with new zinc roofing on marine plywood and insulation, complete with all accessories, cappings and flashings and including lining the high level wall above the flat roof externally, with plywood and standing seam patinated zinc and including specially fabricated cills and linings at window opes. • Removal of the existing railing, excavation for and construction of a new open Porch (hip-roofed) outside the main entrance doors, framed up in galvanised and powder coated steel; having the North side glazed with two panels of 12mm toughened and laminated glass and roofed with standing seam patinated zinc roofing on plywood on timber with insulation and including a soffit of cedar sheeting on marine plywood, together with all associated works including eaves, rainwater goods, flashings, counter flashings and all accessories, and including new lighting and adjustment to existing external lighting. • Supply, installation, connecting up and commissioning a proprietary floor mounted Air Handling Unit (with Cooling mode) in the Exhibition Room, together with condensate drain and an external condenser mounted outside the building at the North end with a ducted pipe to connect to the AHU. • External groundworks: new entrance; new path
