CPB201 - Alfreton Grange Arts College - Groundworks and Associated Works

Tender description

Derbyshire County Council is inviting tenders for the supply of all labour, plant and materials to carry out the External Works/Groundworks associated with the Block 15 Alfreton Grange Arts College The main body of works consists of the formation of a new tarmac car parking area complete with kerbs and drainage (connected into the existing system) on the site of an already existing stone and grass area. The site will need clearing of items listed within the pricing document, excavation to remove the existing stone and grass areas, new kerbs, edgings and drainage and tarmac to falls indicated on the drawings provided. There are adjustments to the existing tarmac paths some trenching and making good and an electrical service duct for the lighting bollards and storage containers (containers are supplied by others) The works also consists of excavation and formation of pad foundations for 4 number containers and a tarmac path around the containers to the rear of the existing building on the grassed area, again indicated on the drawings provided. The proposed building area is a working college off a residential area, it is anticipated that the working hours will be restricted to 8am to 6pm on Monday to Friday and 8am to 12 noon on Saturday, all tenders must allow for these restrictions. Attached drawings and documents giving information are as follows; 1600108/A/11, 1101, 1105, 1201, 1205, 1231, 1232, Bills of Quantities pages 4/1 to 4/13, NBS Document. The works are due to start on or around May-June and should take 8 weeks. Please note on-site parking may not be available. Please include for all unloading and distribution of materials DCC will not pay for materials offsite. Payment will only be made in regard to works executed onsite. Unfixed materials onsite may be paid for with the agreement of the Quantity Surveyor. Any unfixed materials paid for by DCC will transfer into ownership of DCC. Keywords: Drainage, Tarmac, Groundworks
