Tender description

The work comprises construction of a 4.4 km road improvement scheme, consisting of 2.3 km of new and/or realigned road, 2.08 km of online road improvements and all associated works including the provision of new drainage. It also includes the provision of approximately 2.8 km of facilities for vulnerable road users (cyclists and pedestrians) with new public lighting. The works include associated site clearance, drainage works and earthworks, farm access roads, fencing, pavement works, accommodation works, diversions of existing services, provision of road markings and traffic signs, traffic management. The Employer is making available certain lands for the sole purpose of executing these Works. The Employer is making available certain lands for the sole purpose of executing these Works. The N76 is a National Secondary route linking Kilkenny to the N24, just east of Clonmel. The proposed scheme involves both online and realignment improvement works. The scheme commences at the N10 roundabout in Kilkenny City and finishes just south of the Brownstown junction — for Kilkenny County Council.
