The interim market management will be expected to: — provide day to day management of the Outdoor Market, Covered Market Hall, Produce Hall and 20th Century Stores premises, — manage the letting of indoor and outdoor stalls for regular trading in line with policy and regulations, managing the issuing and renewal of licences and collection of rental income on the Council's behalf, — maximise the diversity of retail offer available through Stockport Market, — manage lettings of market premises for specialist markets and events delivered by third parties, — provide day to day management and supervision of markets staff employed by the Council, — provide operational support for the regular market to ensure sufficient staffing and to facilitate delivery of event markets operated by third parties, — manage the ongoing review and implementation of market policy and regulations, — administer Stockport's Market Rights on behalf of the Council.
