Contract 191 - Creation of a 3G Football Facility at Lowton CE High School

Tender description

Lowton Church of England High School, in partnership with Leigh Genesis Football Club (LGFC), wish to re-develop an existing, fenced, sand-based synthetic tennis court facility of approximately 1200m2, to create a 3G football facility. Wigan Council will be facilitating this procurement and interested parties are asked to ensure they are registered on CHEST, the northwest public procurement portal (www.the-chest.org.uk) to receive and submit all relevant information. Project Description The school is seeking quotations for the following works; • Uplift and removal of the existing surface (described above) from the school site based upon a site visit/survey. • Preparation of the existing macadam base in order to make good (levelling and free draining) prior to the installation of the new artificial turf. • Replacement of pre-cast concrete edging curbs to provide a sufficient curb face to retain the newly installed artificial turf and the infill. • Installation of new artificial turf carpet (carpet/installation must comply with the FIFA 1 Star standard or IATS equivalent) • Make good the construction area • Deliver a twelve month maintenance programme (costing required)
