Tender description

The Works will provide a new or refurbished energy centre ("Energy Centre") at Wexham Park Hospital including; installation of a natural gas fired CHP engine in the order of 1,500 kWe capacity; the replacement of existing steam boilers with high efficiency dual fuel LTHW boilers in the order of 2,300 kW to 2,800 kW capacity each, whilst ensuring that there will still be adequate long-term N+1 standby capacity in event of failure of a new boiler and/or CHP engine; the installation of appropriately sophisticated monitoring and control systems and a new LTHW distribution system, interfaced with existing secondary LTHW and DHWS systems will form part of the Works, as shall any specific requirements to maintain steam on site such as for sterile services. The Works shall include the survey, design, strip out and removal from site of redundant plant and equipment, supply and installation of new plant and equipment and associated construction work, and commissioning and testing of the Works, and all necessary draining down, capping off, cleaning, flushing, filling and venting.
