Invitation to Tender for the Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Planters on High Street and Thomas Street, Christchurch, Dublin 8

Tender description

Dublin City Council proposes to award a contract for the supply and installation of street planters and associated maintenance for three years on High Street and Thomas Street, Christchurch, Dublin 8. Three different types of street planter have been identified and are detailed in Appendix C as is the type of planting materials required for each. The installation of these planters will build on a previous scheme which saw planters installed on James’ Street and parts of Thomas Street and which are still in place. High Street, Christchurch, Dublin 8 A total of 54 planters are required at this location. High Street is a busy thoroughfare which is predominantly hard landscaped. One of the aims of the Liberties Greening Strategy (2014) concerning High Street was to enhance and improve the pedestrian experience as well as softening the landscape with increased greening interventions. The indicative planter locations, number and type are identified in Appendix C. Thomas Street, Christchurch, Dublin 8 A total of 14 planters are required at this location. Thomas Street is one of the city’s oldest thoroughfares and forms one of the main tourist routes through Dublin city. Like High Street; it is predominantly hard landscaped at present.
