Construction of External Training Area for Avon and Somerset Constabulary, Hand Centre, Clevedon, N. Somerset

Tender description

1.2. Scope Avon and Somerset Constabulary propose to carry out works to provide an external training area at its Specialist Operations Training Centre, Davis Lane, Clevedon. The scheme is comprised mainly of ground works to provide a network of simulated roads and surfaces. To provide this facility electrical works are included along with the reforming of areas of the site to accommodate parking and some storage. Proposed Works The proposed works include the following main elements: • Provision of Road network comprising two different types of surfaced areas. • Provision of surface water drainage. • Provision of additional drainage and associated culverts. • Provision of ductwork and draw pits to allow installation of Electrical requirements. • Re-grading and alteration to existing levels, including provision of bunds. • Re-seeding (grass) of designated areas. • Particular landscaping and planting to some areas.(PC Sum) • Provision of storage units (PC Sum) • Localised Fencing works (PC Sum) • Electrical works, including LED Street lamps, small power and lighting (PC Sum) Tender Escort Tenderers will be given access to the site for pricing purposes on either Friday10th or Monday 13th March 2017 between 10.00am - 16:00pm. Pricing The tenderer shall fully price the specification of works, inclusive of all PC Sums, Provisional Sums and Contingency Sums as identified within the document. Programme Date for possession of site: 27th March 2017 Commencement of construction works: 27th March 2017 Date for completion of works: 5th June 2017 Length of Contract: 10 weeks All works are to be completed by 5th June 2017
